Man ARRESTED after ‘hiding on farm land’ during police search

Officers from the Thames Valley Police Rural Crime Taskforce unit assisted response officers with an area search in Chipping Norton yesterday (March 8).
They said they were searching for a suspect who has “made off” following an “offence”.
It is not known what this offence was.
The force said the man “tried to hide on some farm land” during the search.

“Unfortunately for him, we’re quite good in fields,” said the officers.
“Our eagle eyed officers spotted him and he was arrested.”
The Rural Crime Taskforce is a unit that targets crime in rural communities.
Rural crime is an issue for large areas of the country, but it tends to go unreported, according to Thames Valley Police.
It can impact on insurance premiums, food prices and damage local communities.
